Chuck Episode Review 3.8.2010

In this week’s episode of Chuck there were some big secrets revealed. The show starts off with Morgan Grimes, Chuck’s best buddy, firing him as his best friend. All Morgan wants is to have his best bro around so they can kick it like its 1988 and play Duck Hunt, and he doesn’t understand why Chuck hasn’t been hanging out as much.

Chuck is still having problems flashing so he gets left behind while Sarah, Shaw, and Casey go on a mission. Meanwhile back at Buy More some mysterious consultants come in to shake things up and get rid of the non-essential workers ala Office Space. While on the mission, Shaw, Sarah, and Casey find out they have been lured away from Castle, but before they can get back to the base it has already been found by the Ring agents and Chuck’s best buddy Morgan.

Morgan, who looks like Seth Green’s twin brother by the way, tells Chuck about the secret base. Chuck is able to keep his secret up until the Ring agents threaten to kill Morgan, which prompts Chuck to spill his guts about being a secret agent. Of course Morgan is ecstatic even in the midst of certain death because he has a best buddy who is a super cool secret agent. It’s like every nerd’s dream come true.

As Chuck is getting his feelings off his chest he regains his ability to flash again. Just as he and Morgan are about to get wiped out he beats the crap out of five dudes, which prompts Morgan to describe his new best buddy as a combination of Jacky Chan, Van Damme, and Steven Segal all wrapped into one.

Now that the Ring agents have been taken care of, Chuck and the gang have to deal with the fall out of Morgan learning their secrets. While the agents are discussing Morgan’s future, you can see him on the camera in the holding room practicing his martial arts moves…funny stuff! The group decides to let Morgan go deciding he would keep their secrets safe because of his loyalty to Chuck. All is well in the Buy More/Spy universe as later that night Chuck and Morgan hang out over a game of Duck Hunt and Subway sandwiches
